It reminds me of the great book “Eats Shoots and Leaves” which is a must-own for anyone who writes for a living (or for fun). Some of the book gets a bit snooty but 90% of it is right on. The thing is, if they made fun little phrases/mneonics like that for all tricky usage snafus, we’d all write better.
Reminds me of the pfishing email that called me a “costumer”, another one that discussed the interest rate available “per anum” and someone who wrote about the “segway” between posts.
Even the founding fathers were poor and inconsistent spellers, but there sure are alot of funny mistakes out there!
