Yes, it works the other way around too. Keith Urban has a thick oz-accent when he speaks, but a southern american accent when he sings. Which is the main reason I hate him. Nicole K. is the other reason.

heh. I’ve never heard her speak, so I have no idea. There are a lot of people who don’t have any accent when they sing, yet when they talk, they’re very accented. So I suppose it could work the other way around, though….

yeah, apparently, people reprt that her thick cockney accent while singing is completely false, inteneded to sound more blue collar and accesible, whereas she’s actually rather posh. mostly, it sounds fake to me. but otherwise, I like the song. I know, how odd.
