so if I may ask, the Mixwit (which is very cool, thansk so much for making this, yer the best friend of someone at a boring office, like me), is drawn from online sources. Where do you find these? Is this an asinine question, asking where to get streaming (presumably) versions of songs?
yeah, apparently, people reprt that her thick cockney accent while singing is completely false, inteneded to sound more blue collar and accesible, whereas she’s actually rather posh. mostly, it sounds fake to me. but otherwise, I like the song. I know, how odd.
heh. I’ve never heard her speak, so I have no idea. There are a lot of people who don’t have any accent when they sing, yet when they talk, they’re very accented. So I suppose it could work the other way around, though….
Yes, it works the other way around too. Keith Urban has a thick oz-accent when he speaks, but a southern american accent when he sings. Which is the main reason I hate him. Nicole K. is the other reason.
I say, stick to your accent. Mine is always Dutch. Except when I’ve spoken German for a while. Then it’s German. And yes, there is a difference!

I know, right? I should have put it in a pop-up window but I can’t be bothered.

I would like Kate Nash’s music far more if it weren’t for her mockney accent. It’s otherwise a good song, though I prefer Lily Allen.

What’s a mockney accent?

LOVE Paul Weller’s “Close to You.” Maybe I’ll let him join the Carpenters cover band that I’m going to start with Billy Bragg & Queen Eliabeth II.

Kate Nash uses a fake accent? I don’t understand.
Mixwit provides the sources; they come from Seeqpod and Skreemr.

I never even knew until he married Nicole K that he was even an Aussie. Because I’d never heard him speak.

OMG, Marjon, singing in a Southern accent and speaking with an Aussie accent is like the best thing I can ever imagine. LOVE him.

And the mix tape is freakin’ awesome!
