For Crazy Cat People Only
We went to the Garden State Cat Show yesterday. I took photos. I call it my “Cats In Prison” series.
In the lobby of the cat show, various animal shelters had cats for adoption. There was this one older male cat named Valentine that we completely fell in love with. As soon as he saw us, he got up and started bumping his head against the cage. I didn’t want to pet him because I didn’t want to get him sick (I had already pet another cat from our shelter earlier) but I rested my head against his. Oh my god. He started kneading his paws and purring. When I stood back up, he looked at me and put his paw up in the air, still kneading. I nearly died. If our cats weren’t so mentally unbalanced, he’d be living here right this second. Oh, Valentine. I didn’t even get a photo because I was so enamored, I forgot I had a camera with me.

With a name like Valentine, you need not worry – he used his cunning loverboy ways to get himself adopted. I betcha you were not the only one he wooed and right now he’s in his forever home!
That last guy with the dumbo ears is awesome.

It’s so hard to have to leave a kitty behind. I can’t wait to rescue my next cat (my Pooh Bear died in ’04) but my dumb roommate is allergic, so I’ve got to be content with my dog for now.
