Dream Analysis Time
Since I was a young girl, I’ve had this recurring nightmare of a lion being on the loose. Sometimes it’s escaped from a circus, sometimes it’s just there for no reason. I always had dreams of having to stay inside because a lion was prowling the streets. I would wake up terrified and feeling trapped.
Last night I had the dream again, but this time the lion was in my house. I had to lock myself in the bathroom and it was trying to push down the door. I held the door up while I tried to get 911 on the phone. I remember the guy who answered 911 immediately saying, “You know this is for emergencies only, right?” and then looking out the window to see my boss standing on my lawn texting on his iPhone. WTF?

The lion is the strong and powerful part of you. It was on the loose when you were a kid because you didn’t know how to control it. You hid from it because you were afraid. Now It’s inside your house because you’re closer to realizing what it is and accepting it. Facing the lion is a good thing, a necessary thing, which is why 911 responds the way they do.
Next time, chase down the lion.
I don’t know what your boss is up to, but who ever knows what their bosses are up to?

Well, lions in dreams usually symbolize your own feelings of strength, courage, aggression and power in overcoming emotional difficulties. But being attacked by a lion usually suggests a force driving you to self-destruction and that you need to overcome.
Seeing a boss in a dream usually represents the bossy or authoritative side of your own personality.
So maybe with the lion being in the house and your boss being outside and ignoring you means you are not actually (or fear you are not) asserting yourself. Can’t quite work in the 911…maybe you’re feeling that you are not being taken seriously or being ignored?

Interesting, both…I am stressed out at work and feeling unappreciated.

I think the lion represents your inner Charlie Sheen.
Be careful, very careful.

Lion is your power totem animal to work with.
Check out animal speak book by Ted Andrews.
I had a cougar chase me for years.
Sometimes it would bite me.
I am terrified every time this cougar shows up in my dreams. Of course – this damn cat shows up when I’m stressed out in waking life.
Thanks for posting this. I had no idea that other people had animals that show up in dreams for years. I thought I was the only one that had a god damn cat chasing me down the past 23 years of my life.
