Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson

Went to see this last night; its first night of previews after its move to Broadway. Admittedly, it sounds pretty silly when you explain the premise — an historical look at Andrew Jackson, the seventh president of the United States and the man responsible for the Trail of Tears, all done in emo-rock style. It’s quite irreverent, a bit uneven in spots, and completely tongue-in-cheek. Definite laugh-out-loud moments as well as an interesting statement about populism that still applies today. In terms of the production, I loved the set design. Here’s a cellphone pic — it was much more red (bloody) in person.
Thanks again to Bianca for getting us sweet $20 tickets!

Randy Quaid and Wife Evi Arrested Again
What the hell is wrong with these two? Sad, he’s come a long way from Cousin Eddie. Or perhaps, he’s more like Cousin Eddie than we ever thought. Also, nice mug shots. How crazy is that Evi? Cuckoo.
