Inglourious Basterds
Lisa and I are trying to catch up on our movies. Last night was Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds. I really liked it. It didn’t feel 100% like a Tarantino movie; not sure why, maybe because of the setting? What did you guys think? I do love the way he always writes women so bad-ass.
Advice on TMFT
You may have noticed I’ve been neglecting Too Much Free Time. It’s been neglected for quite a while now, actually, as I was the only person posting there for weeks and weeks. I don’t want to give it up but I can’t run it by myself, either. What do you guys think? Is it time to pack it in, time to go in a new direction (shorter recaps or some other sort of “hook” like my haiku recaps)? Perhaps it’s time to add some new people and new shows to the roster? Brainstorm in the comments, won’tcha?
Great Parenting
The girl was also carrying the family’s pet rabbit and had an empty bottle of pain pills, meaning she was one party hat away from starring in the next David Lynch film.

My Nose Ring
So I’m loving my nose ring. It’s a teeny little opal stud (my birthstone). However, the healing and getting-used-to process is driving me bonkers. First of all, the solution I clean it with every day so it doesn’t get infected is drying out the skin on my nose. So my nose is very clean but the skin is flaking off and it looks stupid. Also, for some reason, over the past 24 hours the ring has started twisting around willy-nilly. The back (inside my nose) is shaped like a “C” sort of; it’s a nose screw, I guess. The guy custom fit it when he put it in. But I don’t know if it’s loose or what but it’s twisting and sometimes the metal peeks out my nostril and I LOOK LIKE A FOOL YOU GUYS.
Leave it to me to take something as easy as a nose ring and turn it into an ordeal. Do you have any idea how terrified I am to walk around at work with metal hanging out of my nose? Because you know nobody will tell me.
