My New Coffee Friend
A few weeks ago, my coffeemaker died. In a panic, I ran out and bought a Mr. Coffee with a thermal carafe. FAIL. Not only does the coffee NOT stay warm, it also tastes like shit. Unacceptable. So, clutching some Bed, Bath & Beyond coupons in my grubby little hands, I went out on Sunday in search of a new pusher for my caffeine addiction.
I’ve always liked the idea behind the “one cup at a time” coffeemakers, especially since it’s just me here. But I HATED the idea of having to use a tiny plastic canister every time I want a cup of coffee. That’s just wasteful (and pricey). Then, I found out that Keurig‘s machines have a reusable filter! And 20% off? SOLD.
You Go, Joan
If you haven’t seen Sunday’s Mad Men yet, don’t read the rest of this post. If you did, please to enjoy.
The Jobless Recovery
As someone who is currently job hunting, this is more than a little depressing.
OMG YOU GUYS
Look what Nicci did to my blog! I’m LOVING it. How about you? Please note any weirdness or bugs in the comments, okay? And thanks again and again to Nicci.
You now use gravatars in the comments. Go here to upload your own.
Not Today
Not up for posting today. It’s been a rough few days. I’ll try again later, or tomorrow.
Also? I normally don’t care for narcissists who look for validation through their blogs, but today? I could use a hug.
Ice Skating Bear Kills Russian Circus Hand
It is unclear what caused the bear to attack Potapov, 25, nearly severing one of his legs while dragging him across the ice by his neck.
Um, my guess is that HE PUT A BEAR ON ICE SKATES.
Blast From the Past Music
Dead Kennedys, “Take This Job and Shove It.” This one is in honor of my sister. Today is her last day at her stressful, soul-killing job. Time to move on and up, Cin!
