Oh, dear.

Scariest. Mugshot. Ever.

The cough medicine I’ve been taking “to help me sleep” is not helping me sleep. It’s making me high, and I’m enjoying laying in bed and watching Jon Stewart while I float about two feet above my body, but I’m not really sleeping well. I woke up this morning with a splitting headache. A headache so targeted and severe that every time I cough, I have to sit down and clutch my head in pain. So I sound like this: “coughOUCHcoughOHcoughWHYcoughOUCH.”

This is just not my week.

Last night we ripped the padding out from under the area of the carpet where LL peed. The area underneath is concrete, thank goodness, and from the looks of it recently sealed as well. I’ve been treating the carpet (front and back) with a rotating cast of characters like Bio-Kleen, hydrogen peroxide, baking soda and vinegar. The smell has dissipated but is by no means gone. I’m so bummed. I guess I’ll just keep at it for a few days. Then we’ll replace the padding and hope for the best.
