So, I strolled into the hair salon today for a trim. My hairdresser was appalled at the state of my hair, and I don’t blame her one bit. I’ve colored it from a box too much and it’s all dried out and has no life. It was too long and I couldn’t do anything with it, really. So she asked me if she could please, please, please fix the color because it was driving her insane. I figured why not, and told her to cut off a bunch of it while she was at it. It’s been a whole week since Benny died and I still can’t think about it without crying. I will try to take some pictures or video of Mattie later, though. He is getting so big! He’s become really playful and loves getting his head rubbed and chewing on my hair.

Woke up this morning with an itchy red rash on my face. This happened to me last week, too, and I’m starting to think that my beloved Burt’s Bees is to blame. Noooooooooooooo! I’m also getting a haircut in about an hour and a half and I don’t know what I want.

This New York Mag article about how shoes have ruined our natural gait is really interesting. They mention the MBT shoes in the article - the ones I wear for walking - and I agree with both the pros and cons. [via]
