Merry Christmas from the Freak and the Geek! Thanks for another great year. As our gift to you, we’ve made a donation in the name of freakgirl.com’s readers to the charity Dogs 4 Diabetics. Dogs for Diabetics helps provide medical alert dogs to people living with diabetes. These dogs can sense changes in blood glucose levels and save their owner’s lives.
We make this donation in honor of the Geekboy’s sister Debby, who passed away in 1994 at age 31 of complications from juvenile diabetes.

Gluten-Free Cupcakes
I made some cupcakes to take to my hair salon later. One of the stylists has celiac disease, so I wanted to try baking a gluten-free cake. Using a recipe from VCTOTW, I came up with some cute holiday-themed cuppies. I hope the staff likes them!

My friend Anthony just called my attention to a headline we missed last week. He calls it, “The greatest headline in the history of journalism.” I can’t help but agree.

Part of our Christmas Eve tradition is opening Christmas crackers and wearing paper crowns and reading each other the terrible jokes.
Apparently, Britons have voted on the worst cracker joke ever. I guess it’s pretty bad, because I don’t even get it.

I must apologize for not having a lot to say lately. The holidays combined with last week’s issues with trolls are to blame, I suppose. Today will be no different; I have some baking to do (and I will finally break in my new Sideswipe; details to come), need to run to the post office, and give the treadmill a little respect as well. Tonight is Chrismukkah with the ladies; Thai food and a little wine never hurt anyone, eh?
LL just jumped Meena and now she’s walking around with one eye closed like Popeye…I can’t find any damage but it’s watering and making me sad. Although I think she’s putting it on a little bit for my benefit, I hope she’s okay. Poor Meena.
