Michael Richards
I’ve been avoiding posting about the whole Michael-Richards-racist-tirade thing. Unless you live under a rock, you’ve already heard about it. I do have to say one thing, though. Have you noticed that almost every news article about the incident called him “Kramer” in the headline? (ex. 1, ex. 2, ex. 3) Kramer isn’t a racist freak; Michael Richards is. The man is filled with rage, and I would be willing to bet it’s partly because, years later, even when he causes a national incident, people still don’t know his real name. Related article. Woman faces fines for wreath peace sign
What a sad commentary on our country that a peace sign is considered “divisive.”
Holiday WrapUp
Ah, it’s the Monday after a long, long weekend. So tough to get back on track. I have much to do this week! Work to finish, dinner with Beth tomorrow, Canadian arrival on Wednesday, party on Saturday! My liver is already trembling in anticipation. As for the past few days, our Thanksgiving Day was lovely and filling. We spent the rest of the weekend doing various household chores and, as you can see in the photos above, I made some treats. Drool-worthy! I also started knitting a bag to give as a Christmas gift. Oh, and on Friday, Lisa and I went to see For Your Consideration. Hilarious, but not the best of his films. But still – Catherine O’Hara is amazing. Later that night we watched Totally Awesome. Totally worth it. How about you all? Good weekend?

Okay, one last thing I’m thankful for. To How I Met Your Mother, for creating the greatest 80s video of all time.
These People Are Thankful
Talk about having something to be thankful for. This video made my stomach hurt!
Happy Thanksgiving

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving here in the States, which means you won’t hear much from me until Monday. We’re spending tomorrow with friends of the family. I’m bringing apple cupcakes (w/cream cheese frosting and caramel on top, omg) and green beans. Not as a mixed dish, mind you. The geekboy has a half-day today, which is awesome, so I need to run and get a bunch of work done before he comes home.
I leave you with 17 Memorable Thanksgiving Television Moments. I love that it’s 17. Like they couldn’t come up with THREE more to make it an even 20. If you can think of some, add them in the comments. Also, let me know what you’re doing for the holiday (if you celebrate it) or, what you’re doing over the weekend. And…as Michael pointed out in the comments, you can also tell us what you’re thankful for this year.
