New York Comic-Con
This weekend we are going to the New York Comic-Con! Yep. It was part of my contract of wifely expectations, so I have to go. I’m actually looking forward to it; even though I’m just a casual reader of comics, I think there will be enough there to keep me occupied. At the very least, I’ll take a lot of pictures. I originally agreed to go in order to attend Kevin Smith’s Q&A, but it looks like I probably won’t make it. Space is limited and I don’t feel like lining up at the crack of dawn to get a spot. Ah well.
Arrested Development
A sweet tribute to Arrested Development. I was laughing out loud at some of the clips.
Happy Birthday, Baby Girl
It’s Freakniece #2′s birthday! Hooray! I called her this morning, but she was too wrapped up in Curious George on tv to care. Which bodes well for the gift we sent her – the Curious George movie soundtrack, along with a Curious George doll and book.
Thursday
The Jehovah’s Witnesses are prowling the neighborhood again. I’m in a crappy enough mood to almost answer the door. ALMOST. I just got back from a haircut, though; that usually improves my day. I always leave the place with my hair styled very flat (i.e. that episode of Seinfeld with the shower heads); I let her do what she wants with it and then style it myself later after a shower. It was an interesting morning in the shop; beauty salons usually are a hotbed of gossip and conversation.
South Dakota Senate passes abortion ban
No matter how whipped up I’ve gotten over the years about pro-choice matters, I’ve always had this small feeling in the back of my mind that abortion will never again be banned outright. Guess I was wrong.
Hello Kitty Comes to TV
Uh oh, ya’ll. [link via pop candy, who linked to me yesterday, woo]
