Sadness. My parents bought me all these books when I was little. Berenstain Bears also remind me a lot of the dentist. My dentist always had those books there. But it’s still a happy memory, even though I hated my dentist. I bit him once.
Hair Color
Yesterday I picked up some Naturtint at the natural-foods store and colored my hair. I bought “Light Copper Chestnut.” Sigh. I don’t know. I chose a shade darker than what I really wanted because I haven’t used this product before, and didn’t want any surprises. The color looks okay, but it’s not as bright as I’d hoped. I really have a hard time coloring my hair lately. I can’t settle on a good color. The Aveda color my hairdresser uses never lasts very long, and it seems ridiculous to pay that much for so little. So far I’ve had the best results with Lush Henna. It gives me a rich color that seems to last. But it’s SUCH a pain in the ass!
Ouch
Somehow, last night, while reaching for a pair of scissors, I managed to pull something in my back or shoulderblade or neck area. Still unsure exactly where, although my right arm is killing me and I can’t take a deep breath without shooting pains in my back. I fail to understand what I’ve done, karma-wise, to deserve this, but I’m sure it must have been quite something. In the meantime, you can find me in the corner, clutching my bottle of Aleve, muttering “my precious.”

Another one bites the dust. I get a very sick sense of pleasure every time another one gets arrested, and every time Bush’s approval ratings drop. I am a bad American. :) And while we’re on the subject, how come they can do this and we can’t?
