So, it turned out Baby Girl Kitten did have pneumonia, just like I thought. She is under medical care and “hanging in there,” the shelter person told me. The reason I was talking to her in the first place is because she called to ask if I could take in two kittens that had just been dropped off. Of course I said yes, because I am a sucker. They had JUST been brought in, and they look and sound healthy. They’re really shy, but very sweet and cute and are slowly getting adjusted to their surroundings. We’re not sure about names yet, but we were thinking Xander and Willow. Willow is small and shy, but has some impressive growling skills, and Xander is kind of geeky. Here they are (eyes are green, not blue; it’s the flash). Willow. Xander.
