The Canadians arrive for their holiday on Thursday. I am so excited! We’re going to go shopping, and drink, and eat, and drink, and shop, and maybe I’ll even learn how to knit a little. This has been such a nice summer, and it’s not even over yet! And Maggie, we will definitely go to Target and, even more fun, I am going to use that shopping time to flesh out my wedding registry. I’ve got my eye on some of that Swell bedding. Yay for Target!

We went to see Fahrenheit 9/11 this weekend, along with the rest of the world, it seems. Everyone and their mother has given their opinion on the film, so do you really need mine? You already know if you want to see it. It’s not easy to watch at times, and it brought me to tears more than once. Seeing the human side of war, any war, isn’t easy and it never should be. My heart breaks for anyone, American or Iraqi or whoever, who has lost someone they love because of this bullshit invasion. Please do something. Tell Bush & Co. “never again” and contribute to John Kerry’s campaign.
