It's been awhile since I read it, so I've lost some of the details, but I remember being especially struck by the boyfriend/music fan and all the weird message board folks the book describes. I run an official forum for a once-popular musician (it's a paid gig, I'm not actually one of the borderline-creepy fans talking about days gone by) and the way Hornby describes their, um, exuberance is so spot on. Loved it! I'm almost afraid to re-read High Fidelity in case I don't like it. Loved the movie for About A Boy. Something tells me I'll like Juliet, Naked though. Will probably give it a try soon - the last three books I've read have been in the 500-900 page range, so it'll be nice to read something that's less likely to be used as a weapon.
