Ella does this kind of thing every once in awhile (she also can’t help herself from licking and biting anything plastic. SO annoying.), and about a month ago was consistently waking me up at 4:30A with her antics.

My solution: earplugs. I’ve been sleeping straight through the night, regardless of what she knocks over or starts eating. Now the only time I wake up is when she pokes me in the forehead with her paw to snuggle (which is adorable and doesn’t happen every night).

I still hear my alarm, though, which is on my iPhone. No little paws can turn that sucker off.

Yeah, I think she’d scratch and cry at the door. I could lock her out before I got a roommate, because she would just go sleep in the office. I guess I could lock her out and see what happens, but I really do like to snuggle with her at night. I just don’t know why she’s so damn restless.

We tried foil once and my cat Oliver, who also is a bag licker (dirty), thought it was some sort of conspiracy and carefully pried up the foil with his paws to see what was underneath.

Hmmm… maybe on the weekends when you are home during the day do things to keep her awake to adjust her sleep schedule to sleep through the night? I have no idea really as I don’t have cats. Or benadryl, maybe some ether.

That’s what I’m afraid of. She also loves a good plastic bag and will spend hours with one, caressing it and licking it. WHY IS SHE SO WEIRD.

Cheezy and Meena are clearly co-conspirators – she’s doing the same fucking thing, to the point where I want to cry. I wish I could blame it on everything she’s been through the last 4 months… but she’s been doing it longer. Just evil.

Good luck with the foil though. I don’t know about yours, but mine DELIGHTS in standing on stuff that makes noise. Paper, plastic bags, bags of chips, and of course those crinkle bags they sell as toys. She’d consider foiled furniture to be some sort of prize, or a sign of my surrender, lol
