Coming Home Tomorrow
Wednesday, April 02, 2008 at 01:05pmHey peeps, still in Florida! Freakniece #1 and I just got back from seeing Horton Hears a Who, which was really quite fun. I usually can’t stand Jim Carey and his manic scenery-chewing, but he did a great job. And I could listen to Will Arnett’s voice all day. Yesterday my sister and I brought the girls to Sarasota Jungle Gardens, where we met some flamingos and looked at monkeys and alligators and turtles. I took a ton of photos. Tonight, if the weather holds, we’ll try to have dinner on the beach and watch the sunset. For now, I actually don’t feel very well and am going to try and relax a bit (for as long as Freakniece #1 will let me, anyway). Miss you!

Is it weird that I am so excited that you are near my town even though I’ve never actually met you? It is, isn’t it.
I’ve been wanting to go to Jungle Gardens since I moved down here, but we were waiting to go this year until the snow-bird crowds thinned a bit. Was it really crowded when you went? Maybe April is a good time.

It wasn’t too crowded yesterday; maybe a bit. April is probably good - with kids back in school and whatnot.
I was thinking the other day, “Maddie is out here somewhere!” We’ll have to hook up sometime, really. Maybe next time I come down?

Definitely sometime when you are in town, if you have time one of those trips, I would love to!
