Cloth Diapers on eBay
Tuesday, March 04, 2008 at 12:43pmShannon and I were talking about cloth diapers (she is in the process of getting rid of Sophie’s old ones) and she told me that eBay has continually removed her listings for said cloth diapers — apparently, CLEAN used cloth diapers violate eBay’s policy on the sale of used underwear. What? Even though this affects me in no way, I just can’t believe how stupid this policy is. Here’s a petition you can sign.

I’ll pass it on to my online mommies board. There are a lot of women who cloth diaper there (God bless ‘em!)

I think you can get around it if you don’t list that they are used.

I’ve also seen people list one thing that’s new, then say “as a bonus, I’m throwing in these three dozen cloth diapers…” although that might get thrown out as well.
Craigslist might even be a better option so she won’t have to deal with shipping (non-paying bidders, etc).

There’s also several diaper trading and sales sites, she talks about them at diaperpages.com. Tell her to email me - I want to get started cloth diapering my two month old and haven’t bought any yet.

I tried listing them as new and now all of my auctions, new items included, have been dumped. (Thanks eBay, because I have endless time to list things with an infant and a 2 year old!)
