On Saturday I had a conversation with Charlie and the geekboy about my love for Wes Anderson, spurred on by re-watching The Darjeeling Limited last week, and repeated viewings of The Royal Tenenbaums on cable over the past month. About his visuals and his music and how his films are just so saturated with beauty. How sometimes a single scene can squeeze your heart until you almost can’t breathe (Richie Tenenbaum’s shaving scene, the funeral in Darjeeling). Searching around on YouTube, I found these. Ashton Kutcher did a great job hosting SNL this weekend. The only skit that really sucked, IMO, was the cold open with the Petraeus hearing. Boring. Over it.
