I was on the treadmill today, watching Flavor of Love 3 — shut up, I know, it’s awful, and if I hear Flav go “wooooooooooowwwww” one more time, I swear to the lord jesus and baby jesus, I am going to go on a spree — and I saw a commercial for gum. It’s selling gum as a “five calorie snack.” A “snack” that’s great for dieting. GUM IS NOT A FUCKING SNACK, YOU FUCKING FUCKERS.
I can’t believe I live in a world where there is a perceived need for this. And, conversely, where things like this happen.

Jamie Leigh Jones, I am so sorry for everything that happened to you. Jamie was drugged and raped by her Halliburton co-workers in Baghdad. She was beaten so badly that her breast implants ruptured inside her. She was unable to prosecute her assailants (!!!), so has sued in civil court. She has also started a foundation. The other day I saw a link to a pencil sharpener shaped like a woman on her hands and knees where, instead of a head, there is a crank, and one is supposed to stick the pencil into her ass. Charming. Today, I went over to Feministing and saw this, which is just simply unbelievable. And remember those “art” urinals shaped like women’s mouths?
