Remember, everyone, in order to vote on February 5th, you need to be registered by January 14th. If you’ve moved to a different state or county recently, you probably need to re-register. If you haven’t voted in a very long time, you should contact your Board of Elections and ensure you’re still registered. And, you can register online right here.

If you don’t vote for Huckabee, he will shoot and kill you. He said it; I didn’t. Watch the video. Ass.

The NY Public Library is running a controversial art exhibit of doctored “mug shots” of President Bush and other officials. Each official’s board has the date of their crime; for example, Bush’s shows 1-28-2003, the date that he stated, “The British Government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa.” (Bonus: the comments in the linked article are hysterical.)
It’s important to note that the library stresses that these pieces are only part of a larger, more varied exhibit, and that it does not (and should not) reflect their views.
Anyway, these photos are what my dreams look like.

I wonder if Rudy thinks he can get out of this one by invoking 9/11. Should be fun to watch him try.

A great gift idea for your favorite liberal this year. A 13-month calendar (it ends when W’s presidency does) featuring all of George’s favorite women - Hal E. Burton, Miss Appropriation, Robyn DeSyck. Love it.

A Visit to the Creation Museum. Upon learning that the Creation Museum had opened nearby, John Scalzi’s readers begged him to check it out. He went, but only after they donated a nice amount of money to Americans United for Separation of Church and State. You can also read more here. [via]

So yesterday the Senate passed a hate crime bill. Larry Craig voted against it. The world must be a very lonely place when you are mired down in such self-loathing.

In 2001, President Bush made an executive order that would allow him to seal his records indefinitely after leaving office. This order is in the process of being overturned, but now we’ve found that an anonymous Republican senator is blocking the reversal bill. WTF.
