The Cats Are Trying To Break Me

Last night Long Legs was chilling in the windowsill looking at rabbits and birds. I heard him make a noise, and looked over to see his tongue hanging out and retching. We made eye contact and then he violently puked off the sill, down the wall and onto the floor. Scared himself and started running, leaving little dribbles of vomit in his wake. Since I spent the past two days cleaning up my own puke, this was even more fun. Later, I went up to my room to get ready for bed and was greeted by three more piles of puke, courtesy of Meena.

WHY.

Then, because life isn’t exciting enough, Long Legs completely ninja’d Meena this morning. Once around 5:30 and then again at 6:30, he snuck into the room while we were sleeping, leapt onto the bed and slapped Meena in the head, screaming “ROOOOOWWWWWR!” Meena almost had a stroke, I still don’t know what the hell happened, and then LL went into the hallway and cried. Or maybe he was laughing. Who knows.

Again – WHY.

Meena is Trying to Kill Me

Meena had me up at least six times last night. That’s about once an hour. There is no way I am getting any sort of valuable sleep. I’ve nodded off at work twice this week and, last time I checked, that’s not very professional behavior. She climbs up on the nightstands on either side of the bed and starts messing with things. She’ll throw my clock on the floor, or my phone, sometimes she’ll turn off my alarm…drives me nuts. She will stop if I brandish the spray bottle at her, but I don’t want to wake up, PERIOD. This weekend — no lie — I am going to wrap the nightstands in aluminum foil. Cats supposedly hate it. Hoping it will deter her from the nightstands, but my guess is that she’s going to just end up delightedly eating it.
