Birthday Time!
I’m one of those people who likes to declare “Birthday Week” for herself. My birthday falls on a Sunday this year (this Sunday, actually), so I can’t decide if we are currently in the midst of Freakgirl Birthday Week, or if it should start NEXT week.
These are things I think about at night. It’s probably why I don’t sleep very much. Related — it is going to be birthday #42. Does that mean this is finally, FINALLY my year?
Spongebob Squarepants Cupcakes
I made these for Sophie (Shannon’s daughter) for her 5th birthday party. I hear they went over well. Yay! More after the jump.

Sugarcubes, “Birthday.” This is one of my favorite songs in the world, and today I want to play it in honor of Shannon’s birthday, which is tomorrow. Happy Birthday, Shannon! We love you.
Birthday Cupcakes
It was Greater Czarina’s daughter’s birthday this weekend — our little Czarinette is now 13 years old and barreling nicely into teenagedom and all that comes with it (Twilight obsesh, boysboysboys). Anyhoo, these are chocolate and vanilla, rolled in happy sprinklies and topped with fondant cutouts.
