Usually I reserve this spot on Monday mornings to talk about my weekend. Today, instead, I’m sad to let all you animal lovers out there know that Lisa’s cat Sally passed away yesterday after falling ill a week or so ago. It was a very hard day for Lisa and she was such a good mommy to Sally, all the way up until the end. Bye bye, Baby Girl.

Some of you are reporting having trouble commenting or reading posts here since last night. Me too. The geekboy has been working on it, and we’re still not quite sure what’s going on, but I trust that he’ll get it fixed eventually. In the meantime, if things act wonky for you, I apologize.
Posting may be light in the meantime.

This news makes me sad. The gossip rags always talk about how a marriage can split up when the wife is more successful than the husband…it seems like a sexist thing to say, but when you think about Reese/Ryan, Hilary/Chad, Jennifer/Scott, Britney/Kevin (LOLZ)…Oh, I don’t know. Thoughts? Either way, I love both Jenna and James in their respective careers, so I wish them both the best.

A few years ago, a childhood friend of the geekboy’s was killed in a freak accident. Horribly, a few days ago, her 12-year-old daughter was killed in another accident. This story is beyond tragic. It is a nightmare. I wanted to point your attention to it, so you can send peaceful thoughts to Emily’s father, as well as link to the Watkins Glen Farm Sanctuary, which apparently was a favorite charity of Emily’s. They are accepting donations in her honor; if you donate, please mention you are doing it for Emily Marshall.
