One week from today, we pack up the car and head to America Junior to visit our friends. Can’t wait! Sandra and Nicci, let me know if you want us to bring anything special!
On our way home, we intend to stop in the Finger Lakes region for an afternoon/night. I want to visit the Waterloo Outlets and also, natch, some wineries. If any readers know that area, what wineries or activities do you recommend? We are leaning towards Waterloo, and visiting Seneca and Cayuga Lakes.

Andrew posted today about having some sleeping troubles lately. Boy, can I relate. The past week or so has been a doozy. The geekboy has suddenly started snoring again, which sucks. I’m having trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. I’m plagued by bizarre dreams. Last night the geekboy slept in the guest bedroom, I went to bed at 9:30pm, took an Ambien, and I was still up four or five times during the night. The dreams are so odd. A LITTLE VINO WOULD BE KEEN-O! Chuck was asking if I could do a post about wine. Of course I can! More specifically, your favorite bottles that are $10 and under. Tell us your old standbys, your new favorites, wine you’ve heard about and have been wanting to try. As long as it’s in that $10 range, anything goes.

The lawn guys are currently in the back yard, driving through the wet grass dragging something that looks like a long, wide wheel covered in huge spikes. It’s leaving holes in the ground and pulling out spikes of dirt that look like piles of poop lying around. What are they doing? I’m so curious. But not curious enough to go out and ask them.

Who has some recommendations on good PSP games? I’m looking for things like puzzles, word games, Tetris-type stuff, etc. Things I can play that will make my brain work a little bit. But not too much, of course. Oddly enough, I also love Streetfighter-type games.

Yesterday the geekboy and I finally sucked it up and bought an iPod. Certainly not a necessity, but I’ve wanted one for ages and thought I’d get a good amount of use out of it. We decided that we could afford it (I’ve had a few good freelance jobs lately), and ordered it yesterday. I know people love to talk about their iPods (dirty!), so why don’t ya’ll discuss your favorite accessories? All ours come with are earbuds and a USB cable, so we’re wide open.

Our local grocery just started using Peapod home delivery. We got a big fat coupon to try it out, so we’re going to. Have any of ya’ll ever used it? How much does one tip the driver?

In about 15 minutes, I take the kittens to the shelter, where they’ll be taken to the vet to be neutered. Later this afternoon, when they are done, I am taking them on an all-expenses-paid trip to recover at Shannon’s Kitty House of Love™, where they will be much more relaxed for the next few days before they’re ready for adoption. Tomorrow, our guests arrive. And Saturday is our Annual Holiday Open House. Things are going to be very busy, so don’t expect to hear much from me after today. Feel free to post party recipes and advice in the comments. Your mission - I have almost 2 cases of wedding champagne left over. I need a festive (and EASY) punch recipe.

Can anyone recommend a good lipstick/lipstain/whatever? Something that will stay on my lips and not rub off on my glass or cigarette or someone’s cheek? Something that I don’t have to keep reapplying all night? Anyone?
