I’ve done priceline, travelocity, and orbitz. They are all worth checking out. Also, when you find a deal, call the company and see if they have anything that beats it.
I have one of those Entertainment Books, too, with coupons. I just hate doing all the freaking legwork in finding a good deal! I’m so lazy. I got a great deal on my flight to FL, though. $79 each way!
I’ve only used Priceline for a hotel once but I’ve use Expedia, Hotwire (the most), and Travelocity for flights, hotels, and car rentals before and they’ve been great.
Sorry to be late to the party with my input, but, here goes. When Jill and I needed a large car last minute to hold all the family for graduation, I was able to priceline a fullsize town car or similar for $20 plus some sort of “fee.” The upshot was that you really can name your price sometimes and get a great deal. It was certainly cheaper than the quotes I was getting.

I have Hotwired – worked great. Word about checking the company directly as well first, then getting the price quote from the reseller site.

If you hate legwork just book on Travelocity. They are who we use 99% of the time.

So far, Hotwire is giving me the best price. I’ll wait until it’s closer to the trip; for now I’ll just keep an eye on things.

I think the closer it gets to the date, the better deal I’ll get.

I think so too. That was actually Liz commenting above. I hijacked her computer and she didn’t notice…

Yeah, I figured as much. Unless you had suddenly developed an alternate personality.
