Captcha Issues?
Monday, November 26, 2007 at 01:28pmMaggie has reported that the blog is making her enter a captcha every time she comments. You really should only have to do that once, if at all. Anyone else seeing the same behavior on multiple comments?

I can’t recall ever needing to type in a captcha for this site.
Jen in OH! on Monday, November 26, 2007 at 2:24 pm
I haven’t seen it at all, either.
Lauren on Monday, November 26, 2007 at 2:24 pm
nope, not for me either.
Jen in OH! on Monday, November 26, 2007 at 2:27 pm
I am having to re-enter my ID info every time I post, though. I’ve deleted my cookie, pardon me while I make a test post to see whether that clears it up.
Jen in OH! on Monday, November 26, 2007 at 2:29 pm
Well, shit. That gave me the captcha and now my ID info is STILL not being retained. I’m running Firefox 2.0.0.9 if that’s useful in any way.

Jen and Maggie are on the terror watch list.
Jen in OH! on Monday, November 26, 2007 at 2:40 pm
Heh, it’s funny cuz it’s true.
freakgirl on Monday, November 26, 2007 at 2:48 pm
Jen, odd. It remembers my info and I have the same browser version.
The geekboy will try some magic.
Maggie on Monday, November 26, 2007 at 3:38 pm
It’s passive-aggresive toward me. It remembers my info, yet makes me do the captcha. I haven’t tried it in Firefox…I generally use Safari.
Maggie on Monday, November 26, 2007 at 3:39 pm
No captcha this time!
marta on Monday, November 26, 2007 at 3:42 pm

The captcha is a function of our spam filter. With the relaunch of the site, everybody went back to zero as far as their spam reputation was concerned. In some cases, this means that frequent posters like Maggie and Jen got punished for posting too frequently before the spam filter understood that they were friends of the site. Maggie, I just went in and white-listed you to get around this. Jen, we’ll go ahead and do the same for you. If anybody else runs into the same problem this week, just let us know. But it should work itself out over the next week or so.

No captcha issues for me. Just anxiety, intimacy, weight, seperation and technical issues, but captcha nope.
The Other Andrew on Monday, November 26, 2007 at 5:56 pm
I kid or course! I don’t have technical issues.
