Boot Camp for Women
I just signed up for this. It’s either going to be the best experience of my life or the worst decision I ever made. We’ll see. Beth is signing up with me, in our attempt to keep each other motivated and laughing. The program doesn’t start until May, so I have about two months to whip myself into a frenzy of apprehension about the whole thing. DID I MENTION IT IS AT 6:00 IN THE MORNING? Monday through Friday? FOR FOUR WEEKS? My god, what have I done? Truth be told? I’m kind of excited about it.

Oh I’ve heard of these. I hope you’ll be blogging through your triumphs and tribulations! Good luck!

The one thing I look forward to is that once camp is over at 7:00am, my exercise for the day is over. Which will leave me a lot more time to get other stuff accomplished. The interesting part is going to see how my body reacts to keeping those kinds of hours.

Last year I did a 5:30am women’s boot camp for 2 months and it was great! I was ridiculously tired afterwards, but I got more exercise than I knew what to do with and it was really good for me. I couldn’t get anyone to sign up with me, but I did pretty good on my own. And the trainer was awesome. It was great working with a female trainer and being around all women. I’d still be doing it except a) cost and b) 5:30am.

Holy crap!
Good for you.

Let me know if I can do anything to help the GB.

Heather, did you notice a difference in appearance? I’m whatevs about losing weight, but I’d love to tone up.
Chuck, I’m sure he’ll be fine. ;) I’ll get home just as he’s leaving for work each day, probably. And since I won’t have to exercise AFTER work each day, I’ll have more time to make a nice dinner. Or, I’ll be passed out on the couch, wine bottle in hand. Either way, he wins.

Just so you know, I’m not getting up at 5:30 to make the coffee.

DIVORCE! ;)
Maybe I’ll finally start making use of that timer on the coffee maker.

I WANNA DO A 5:30AM WOMEN’S BOOT CAMP! With Trainer Bob.
That sounds like work, but fun work. Jealous. I’ve always wanted to have a trainer, but the one (one!) at my gym has distracting teeth.
I think it’s gonna be a great experience. Who knows, maybe a seminal shift!

That’s awesome. I’ve seen flyers for the one in queens by my house. I would totally do it if i could.

Save your kudos for when I actually DO it. Heh heh.

Michael, that’s funny. I have never signed up for personal training at my gym because the trainer has the worst fake-boob job in the history of implants. I figure, if she makes such poor decisions with her own body, I’m not trusting her to whip mine into shape.

During the brief period I belonged to a gym, the instructor of my favorite aerobics class disappeared for a few weeks. When she came back, she had gotten lipo and other various things done. I lost interest in the gym soon after that.

Yes, I did notice a difference in my body, especially my legs. I did lots of squatting and lunging in that boot camp. Now they’re back to their usual marshmallow-like consistency because I have no self discipline.

I want Michelle Obama arms. ;)

The trainers at my new gym look like walking mountains. They scare me.
Good luck with this! Sorry I’m waaaaaaaaaaaay too lazy to haul my ass out of bed that early to join you. :)

Hulk Smash!
Getting up that early is going to life-changing. Possibly not in a good way.
