Blast from the Waaaaaaay Past

That’s me and Mike Mills, circa 1989. I cropped my friend out, as I haven’t asked for her permission to post the photo. This photo fades a bit more every year. We look like ghosts. But I was sooooooo happy. Can you tell? Also, I’m sporting a Fishbone t-shirt and a sweater from the Gap that I think I wore nonstop for about five years. My guess is that I had on my Multiples black pants (which I still have) and a pair of clunky black Doc Martens.
I still can’t find the one of us with Peter Buck, though.

Priceless. Mike is wearing a t-shirt from EXIT, a legen (wait for it) dary club in Chicago. His shirt is from the original location on Wells where if Mike walked in looking like that in 1989, he’d have gotten beaten up. The new location is in a slightly seedier neighborhood where upon parking your car you stand a 97% chance of being propositioned for a “date”.
So, how’d you meet Mike?

Ken, my friend and I hung out at the stage door in Atlanta ALL DAY. We were young. Nothing better to do.
