Better
Since I got the meds from my doctor, it only took about 24 hours for my neck to get back to normal. Well, close to normal. It’s still a bit tight and sore, but I can turn my head now and everything! I even went to boot camp this morning. Push-ups didn’t feel so great, so I kind of blew through those. But I was able to manage everything else — and let me tell you, there’s no better way to be sure you’re engaging your abs during crunches than when you have a sore neck. Because if you do it wrong, your neck will TELL YOU.

So glad you’re feeling better!

Thanks! It’s starting to tighten up again from this morning’s workout, but I think if I just get some heat on it, I’ll be fine.

Just wondering what your desk situation is like? I had a lot of neck problems earlier in the summer and a combination of raising my monitor and switching to an exercise ball instead of a chair really made a difference.

I’m curious about those exercise ball chairs. I’ve heard only good things about them. My friend Sara had one, until her cat popped it (!)
Sitting in front of a computer all day isn’t good for anyone. This particular instance, though, I think was a combo of several different stressors. Just a perfect shitstorm, I suppose!

My cat popped my exercise ball too!
Maybe this would help….

I read all these posts and got to cat “popping” but my mind understood it as “pooping” and so for a while there i was totally imagining your cats balancing and pooping on your balls. I was really weirded out.

Ha ha! Yes, that is weird. :)
