Beck – Clap Hands
SNL still pretty much blows, but this past weekend Beck performed “Clap Hands” and it was fantastic. I can’t find video of the SNL performance, but I did find this version from another show. Creative and cool.

I’ve had major problems with Beck since the whole Scientology thing broke. I know it’s a prejudice, but I can’t help it. I love Sea Change though.

I know what you mean, Chuck.
I still like this, though. :)

I used to like Beck but I haven’t in a long time. Either he’s a big musical wacko or I’m just not hip enough to keep up with him. But we caught that Clap Hands bit, and I loved it. Except for the part where he was singing. I can totally leave Beck, but his crew were great.

Yeah, SNL has pretty much sucked this year (they lost some good cast members) but I thought the writers brought their ‘A’ game for Hugh Laurie, there were some actual laugh-out-loud moments, for the first time this year. I mean Weekend Update is usually good for a chuckle or two even under the worst circumstances but I hadn’t even cracked a smile at anything this year, until Hugh came along.
Oh, and Beck was great, though I saw the whole kitchen implements-as-percussion bit live last fall.
Chuck- For some odd reason, I look past the whole Scientology thing for only two people: Beck and Jason Lee. Everbody else is is a raging freak.

Ken, I’ll agree, I got more laughs out of this episode than usual. The ghost hunters/fart thing was funny, I’ll just say it. I love potty humor. No “House” skit, though?
I wonder why Amy and Seth haven’t done more “Spyglass” sketches. I loved those. I’m not missing Horatio Sanz, but I’m really bummed we might not get more “RICK RICK RICK” sketches.

I couldn’t believe it took until last week’s episode to do a “Two A’Holes” skit. And where’s the Target lady?

I love anything Kristin Whig does. I’m a big fan of Sudeikis too. I just learned when I used the google to check his spelling, that he’s the nephew of Norm from Cheers.
I had no idea Jason Lee was a scientologist. Very bummed.

George Wendt’s nephew? How random.
I always think everyone knows about Jason Lee. I remember there being some sort of issue on the set of “Mallrats” with Joey Lauren Adams questioning him about his beliefs, and then her apologizing to him via the Mallrats graphic novel.
