Can you believe that this past weekend I finally saw 13 Going on 30 for the first time? How did I manage to avoid this movie for so long? There’s no excuse. Adorable.

I had it out from Netflix this weekend, and then discovered it was pretty much on FX all weekend. In happier news, I still can’t get “Love is a Battlefield” out of my head and I’m sitting at my desk doing the shoulder-dance.

I’m shocked to my fiber that you hadn’t seen that movie until now. I must say that it was an HBO guilty pleasure for myself and Em. Well, guilty pleasure on my end, no guilt involved on her’s.

I was totally beating myself up. Three years, I could have been watching this movie!

This IS a great movie. Kinda makes you want to go back and go out with the dork from grade school (oh wait, that was ME)

That purple sweater with the hearts that the young version of Jenna had on in the beginning of the movie? I HAD THAT, and a best friend named Matt. Sorry to say I did not marry him, and he did not grow up to look like Mark Ruffalo.
Such an adorable movie.

Mark Ruffalo is one of my favourite actors ( Not coincidentally, ‘You Can Count On Me’ is my favourite movie), so I try and see everything he’s in. I was in no rush to see this one, but it was showing on a flight I took, so I ended up seeing it sooner than expected. I enjoyed it. Certainly better than ‘Just Like Heaven’.

Still, I hesitate.

Michael, if you were a girl in the 80s, you’ll enjoy it.

Well, you know I was.
OK!

Q:”Who’s your daddy?”
A:”Wayne Rink” is my favorite line in that movie. I have no guilt whatsoever about liking this movie and I’m a male. Of course, I’d pay $10 to see Jennifer Garner read the phone book. Judy Greer is also a delight and Mark Ruffalo is also superb in nearly everything.
